my latest purchases included: Bloc Party - A Weekend in the City; Mylo - Destroy Rock and Roll; and We Are Scientists - With Love and Squalor.
the latter marks a genuine low point in my music purchasing history.
what an utterly drab and directionless record. granted, i’ve only listened through once, but there was precious little on there to convince me to give it another play. very uninspiring…
that’s the last time i walk into hmv and buy a bunch of cds without doing some research first.
Bloc Party and Mylo are awesome, of course, so it wasn’t a total washout.
